Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) :

Allaah’s Messenger (SAW) said :

Verily Allaah likes three things for you and He disapproves three things for you.

He is pleased with you that you worship Him and associate nor anything with Him, that you hold fast the rope of Allaah, and be not scattered;

and He disapproves for you irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and the wasting of wealth.

Narrated by ‘Abdullah ibnu ‘Amr ibnu Al-’As (RA) :

Allaah’s Messenger (SAW) said :

Verily, Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men (scholars) till when none of them (the religious learned men) remains, people will take ignorant persons as their leaders who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray.
